Tim McLoone started his journey with music from the tender age of 8 where he learnt to play the piano which then lead to being classically trained in many musical instruments. However in 2004 this English country boy moved to the city and fell in love with the dance music scene.

After attending many club nights McLoone decided it was time for him to get behind the decks.

In 2007 he was given a break and put behind the decks in Crash (One of London's most legendary gay clubs). Going from strength to strength he has played at many of London's prolific nightclubs such as Crash, Fire and Area to name a few.

Vinny Vero (New York City, USA)

Producer, songwriter and DJ, Vinny Vero began his career in the business of music as an executive at EMI Records working with multi-platinum international acts like Roxette, the Pet Shop Boys, Jon Secada, Robert Palmer, Huey Lewis And The News, Go West and Queensryche among others.

It was during this time that he developed Brilliant!, a successful dance/pop oriented imprint under the EMI umbrella of labels which produced several international, chart topping singles. He also became one of the creative pioneers behind the then burgeoning compilation market and was the guiding force behind bringing the "Now That's What I Call Music" brand to US shores.

Throughout the 90s and 00s, Vinny vigorously pursued his production and songwriting career. He has seen his production abilities leant to the Grammy-nominated hit "To Step Aside" by Pet Shop Boys and the worldwide smash single "In The Springtime Of His Voodoo" by Tori Amos. He co-wrote and produced six songs for Billie Ray Martin on "18 Carat Garbage", the follow-up to her smash, debut album which included the international hit "Your Loving Arms". Vinny has also produced records for Ace Of Base, Bananarama, Blondie, Judy Cheeks, Cut N' Move, Bryan Ferry, Frida (from ABBA), Shara Nelson and Rozalla.

Vinny's successful remixes for Blondie were instrumental in bringing them back together for their 1999 reunion album, "No Exit".

Based in New York, Vinny has spent many years honing his craft. He divides his time between his home, Los Angeles, Nashville, London and Stockholm writing songs, working on productions and developing arrangements. In the last five years alone, Vinny has had top 10 albums and singles with international, major label acts including Jim Brickman, B3, Yvonne Catterfeld, Latik, Tania Moran, Sandra Oxenryd, Paulini, Rosa, Vanessa S, and Wei Wei. In fact, Wei Wei, China's biggest star with album sales of over 200 million, hosted the 2008 Olympics in Bejing and performing a selection of Vinny's songs in front of billions of people across the globe.

Over the years, the rapidly growing list of hit artists Vinny has been asked to pen hit songs for has included Paula Abdul, Oleta Adams, Peter Andre, Another Level, Marc Anthony, Rick Astley, Toni Braxton, Five, Eric Gadd, Robin Gibb, Faith Hill, Whitney Houston, Joe Dee Messina, Kylie Minogue, Ultra Nate, N'Sync, React, Jon Secada, Donna Summer and Tina Turner.

Ever challenging himself further, Vinny's entrepreneurial side saw him start his own independent record label in 1998, the appropriately named Finetune Recordings. The label saw the signing, development and success of new material by Boy George, Black Box and Billie Ray Martin. In fact, the label went from strength to strength with its biggest success having come from New York native Caprice with her smash hit "There Goes Your Heart" which became a top 20 hit and a radio staple in many major metro markets across the US.

Also, Vinny spent the last seven years with Time Life where he was brought in to contribute his marketing expertise and knowledge of popular music. He produced dozens of television programs hosted by legendary performers including Air Supply, Peabo Bryson, Roger Daltrey, KC And The Sunshine Band, Huey Lewis, Kenny Rogers and Vanessa Williams.

Most recently, Vinny completed producing tracks and directing videos for Bret Michaels (lead singer of Poison), Jim Brickman and The Manhattan Transfer, as well as producing a brand new version of "Beautiful People", the third single from Pet Shop Boys' album, "Yes". Currently he is producing remixes for numerous acts including Bright Light Bright Light, David McAlmont and The Soup Dragons, among others. Additionally, Vinny spends his spare time DJing around New York, Washington DC, Boston and across Europe.

We're very excited to have Vinny spin for us in the Gallery Bar at Underbear.

Garçon Garçon (Sydney, Australia)

Hi, we are Garçon Garçon (Nathan Mahon and Nick Tsirimokos), a synth pop duo from Sydney, Australia.

Our music is a product of our childhoods, growing up in the 80s; playing Nintendo, riding BMX bikes. Mixed with a love for electronic music, we have created a unique electro pop sound that is genuine and sincere.

In late 2010, we uploaded our first two demos online, which generated a huge internet buzz for us. Being featured on major sites such as Big Stereo, Last FM, and Pop Justice really helped us establish an international profile quite quickly.

In January 2011, we released our first single "Stay In Touch" which had over 5,000 listens in the first three days.

Some of our key achievements include:
  • An Official Remix of Patrick Wolf's latest single "Together", on Mercury Records.
  • Contributing an original track for Peter Morrissey's RAFW 2010 show
  • A Major feature in Attitude Magazine (UK)
  • Collaborating with American Rap star Cazwell (I seen Beyonce at Burger King, Ice Cream Truck)
  • Headlining act at a Belvedere Vodka Special Event
  • Collaborating with acclaimed filmmaker Alex Goddard (Clubfeet, Kitsune, Justice Crew, Oyster Magazine, Motorola, MySpace) on debut music video featuring Australian model Tiah Eckhardt (Agent Provocateur, Wheels and Doll Baby)
  • 'Take Me Out' and 'Stay In Touch' both reach number one on Spanish indie charts (Astredu Pop).
  • Working with well known fashion photographer Elvis Di Fazio (Vogue, Oyster, Pop Magazine, Attitude)
Currently we are working on finishing our debut EP, aiming to have it completed by mid December. So far we have had an amazing response to our music from Europe and North America, and after completing the EP we would love to make our way over there to tour.

Thanks for checking us out, we'll see you at Underbear during Bear Essentials.

Frankie Shin (Seoul, Korea - Sydney, Australia)

Whatever Frankie Shin does, he does it with PASSION. From the early beginnings as a DJ in Seoul to his latest VDJ and DJ gigs in Sydney he brings a flamboyant style that captivates the masses. His creative mind communicates through music and visuals to give energy to his audiences. Whether spinning the music, chatting with the clubbers, or dancing on the dance floor he enlivens the space and the patrons experience.

This passion first developed while at high school in South Korea. His creative colorful style quickly engaged the masses when he brought dance music to Seoul, as resident DJ at Hollywood Club. A loyal following emerged from those suffering insomnia who knew that Frankie Shin would be spinning out house, techno and trance in Itaewon till the break of dawn. Seoul then began to have an influx of international DJs and Frankie Shin found himself playing with some of the best. He became influenced by DJs such as Richie Hawtin, John Acquaviva and Dave Seaman. In the early 1990s he travelled to England, Holland and Germany taking mental notes of all that was to be seen and heard. Back in Seoul he introduced this new genre and further honed his skills.

Frankie's love of music is over many genres, so to describe him just as a house or electro DJ would be foolish. His love of music and his loyal followers will never be constricted to one genre. This versatile unselfish style has influenced DJs throughout Seoul and has mushroomed a common vibe amongst the party elite and everyone that listens to dance music.

As resident DJ and artistic director at Circle, Seoul, Frankie has influenced the club scene booking and promoting many international artists. Artists such as Paris Hilton, ......add... have shared his enthusiasm. With a thirst for knowledge, it is not surprising that Frankie is continually exploring new ways to entertain. This constant experimentation and adaptation of new technologies means he is always creating his own ideas. As a multimedia artist he creates a sound and visual experience that stimulates.

Frankies' love of a stylish product, his passion for wearing the clothing and demonstrating its style lead to the brand WESC becoming popular in Korea. Now Frankie has become an international WE Activist.

Frankie loves people and is always trying to improve their entertainment experience. He introduces new products, ideas and music.
People just love his PASSION so will you at Underbear.

DJ [BoX} (Sydney, Australia)

Listened in the 80's, Partied in the 90's & now DJs.

A Massive fan of late 80's Acid/Chicago/Hip House danced til dawn at many a Hordern party.

A move to Tokyo in the early 90's completely tilted his musical journey towards the deeper side of tech and House. Whilst promoting some of Europe's best acts and DJs he started spinning chill out spaces and tinkering with lighting.

Returning back to Australia in'95 he has been involved with the production of many gigs including the famous TRADE parties @ the Metro in Sydney. A few years back now he was asked to start playing at the Bank Hotel, Newtown on a Sunday afternoon. An eclectic mix of disco, house, funk and Electric Boogaloo (end of Disco/start of Breakdance sound) leading to a two and a half year residency.

It was suggested by a good friend that his sound would go down well with the Harbour City Bears crowd - so for over 18 months he has been a permanent fixture at Furry Fridays @ The Oxford Hotel.

2011 saw Box step up with gigs at Fair Day plus the VIP viewing area for the Mardi Gras parade as well as at the Coast Out festival. He also played the SCRUFF Party during the Bear Essentials 15 festival that runs concurrently with the Mardi Gras festival.

Now with a regular following, he is looking forward to Bear Essentials 16 to blow away the boogie & crank up the deep Tech house poolside at our "swimming gala" – the Wet Furr Pool Party.

Scottie Lupton (Sydney, Australia)

DJ Scottie Lupton, who'll be playing in the main bar at Mega Furry Friday, started being a collector of music for over 30 years, he always got a buzz from sharing his music with family and friends, so DJ'ing seemed like the most logical way to explore his passion and enjoyment of music.

DJ Scottie Lupton can be best described as a retrospective DJ, where he specialises in more of an eclectic back room sound: disco, soul, funk, rare groove, italo disco, proto-house, retro house, and anything that doesn't get heard out much these days. He loves to mix it all up together in his sets, and never really likes to stick to one sound. Just don't try and put him in a box or call his style 'retro' as you will soon discover there is something a little more unique about his sounds and style than the average 'jukebox' DJ.

As a self-confessed music junkie, Scottie loves sharing his collection with his audience. He loves to share his new finds, or reintroduce his audience to long forgotten gems. Scottie believes that there is such a wealth of music that has come before, which has influenced and entertained us in so many different ways, and that it deserves to still be heard and enjoyed in bars and clubs, where most commonly it is always just about the music that is "here and now". Scottie loves seeing the big beautiful smiles that erupt on people's faces when they hear a song that he is playing that seems to trigger a flood of associated memories, and transport them back to a time or place.

"I'm always learning, and I'm always discovering new sounds. There is nothing like discovering a track that you have never heard before, and then introducing people to it. I love stumbling across the original source of samples from well-known dance songs, and playing them to see peoples reactions. Music is made to be shared, to share ideas, emotions, thoughts, feelings, and experiences. You just have to open yourself up and to listen with an open mind and an open heart. The music will do the rest. I believe whole heartedly that music is the answer to your problems."

Scottie is also the creator and promoter of Back 2 Love, an event that he started back in 2004, which is a club night where it is all about the music, and where the guest DJs join Scottie behind the decks, and take you on a journey through their personal collections. They share some of their personal favourites, and take you back to their roots to show you what music means to them, and ultimately why they are a DJ. Back 2 Love whole-heartedly embraces Scottie's personal style and philosophy on DJ'ing, and is all about sharing the love we all have for music.

Sean Mac (Atlanta, USA)

Sean Mac began DJing in 1995 after meeting the legendary David Morales in NYC. After dabbling in the rave scene, spinning progressive, breaks, and jungle, he settled into the house music scene, drawing influences from cinematic scores and classic disco. His love of uplifting vocals was a natural fit with the gay circuit and led to DJ gigs of all kinds, from tea dances to afterhours. He's had the pleasure of spinning for Lady Gaga, "Wonder World" weekend at Disney World and, through a process of blind selection against nearly 50 other DJs from all over America and around the world, the headlining spot at the annual "REAL BAD" party in San Francisco, following Folsom Street Fair.

Since REAL BAD, he's graced the decks as headliner in Atlanta, New York, Chicago, San Francisco, and - thanks to HCB - "A Chunky New Year" in Sydney.

His remix work with Bryan Reyes, including Fierce Angel artist Peyton's "Love So Strong" (with John LePage & Paul Goodyear) and Leona Lewis & Avicii's "Collide" is supported by DJs around the world. His first solo remix, for Matt Consola's "Feels Like Heaven", is available on Beatport from December 2011.

Fun fact: Sean Mac's first unofficial DJ gig was in a gentlemen's club at age 15.

Expect hard beats, joyous vocals, and an abundance of soul from Sean in the Underground of the Oxford on Furry Friday February 24th.
